The Colne Valley Landscape Partnership is celebrating its success in securing HLF funding towards a £2.5m Scheme in the Colne Valley, west of London. The ‘Landscape on the Edge’ initiative, which will run for three years, features a diverse and ambitious range of projects – nineteen in all! They include measures to help threatened water voles to thrive, conserve wildlife habitats, raise awareness among local people of the need to reduce water consumption, improve access routes into the area for local people, support local conservation groups and encourage residents and visitors to celebrate their landscape.
Groundwork South has just issued an advert for the Programme Manager post (see https://www.groundwork.org.uk/Sites/south/pages/programme-manager-colne-valley-landscape-partnershipsouth ) who will be responsible for coordinating delivery of the Scheme; the deadline for applications is 16th September 2018 . Four other posts hosted by the charity will be advertised in Autumn 2018 and will include three full-time Project Officers (focussing on landscape, rivers and interpretation) and one Administrator (part-time). London Wildlife Trust and Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust are also due to advertise for a Grazing Ecologist (part-time) and Colne Valley Rivers and Wetlands Project Officer respectively, as part of the Scheme. Please be so kind as to spread word of the opportunities. Any potential applicants wanting an informal, confidential chat about the posts are welcome to initially contact me at email@example.com
