The Upper Nidderdale LPS are holding their end of scheme conference on Thursday 13 September in Pateley Bridge, west of Harrogate in North Yorkshire.
We will be reviewing some of our work from the past four years under the themes of rural economy, cultural heritage, and heritage skills. Speakers who will putting this work into a national context include Prof. David Hill CBE (among others Chairman and founding owner of The Environment Bank Ltd, Commissioner for the Food, Farming and Countryside Commission, Chair of the Northern Upland Chain Local Nature Partnership, Chairman of Plantlife), David Renwick (Head of Heritage Lottery Fund for Yorkshire and the Humber); Ken Smith (Chair of the Council for British Archaeology and former head of the Peak District National Park Authority’s historic environment team).

In addition to the conference there will be opportunities for site visits and guided walks on the Wednesday afternoon and the Friday morning, and to join our celebratory event on the Thursday evening (all optional to the conference).
